Shannon was terrific, working under a challenging situation—conducting a long-distance Facetime inventory, working to clarify and classify a decidedly disorganized estate, overseeing careful packing of vintage concert posters and music memorabilia, as well as personal belongings going into storage after a long-time friend's move to a nursing home. She never made assumptions but checked with me as to identifications and such, and made sure everything was clearly catalogued. And she also made sure that when the materials were moved into the storage unit, they were organized for easy access. Lots of photos as well, to make things even clearer. An amazing job all around I'm truly thankful for her partnership in this difficult time.

Aida and her team were amazing! With everyone home during COVID-19 we needed more space. Luckily we found a great house but then It dawned on me, we had to move. I am a single, heavy set Business Owner with crazy work hours and no support system (at least not any that I would burden). I had just bought my first home after living in an apartment for over 20 years. I needed to furnish my entire new house and have a number of repairs done. So I was looking at having to make a sizable amount of purchases, schedule deliveries and installations, all which required supervision in the midst of keeping the money coming in with work. Quite frankly, I had no idea how I was going to get all these done. Enter Potomac Concierge Service’s Kim Thompson and Debbie Parrillo to the rescue. On Day-1 when I met them at my house in Falls Church for a consultation, it was so cold in the house because the furnace had decided to go belly up that we couldn’t take our coats off. It was nearly unbearable to conduct this initial meeting. Not only did they stay, but Debbie had someone come out a fix and service the furnace the very next day. The ink was barely dry on my contract with them, and they were already taking care of my needs. Not only is Kim’s taste and style worthy of her own Bravo TV show, but her ability to find just the right piece and resolve space constraints is near Sunday morning church inspirational. The first time I walked in the house after she initially staged it, I couldn’t stop smiling for days! The Cable TV installer was not only late but took forever to arrive; I’m talking way past normal business hours. I was stuck at work trying to get a client deliverable out and couldn’t be there. Kim not only stayed ridiculously late for this person to come and complete the installation. She kept me apprised via text through the whole ordeal. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Just recently after she had already supervised and staged all of the initial furniture buys to make my house look like an amazing magazine ad, her attention to detail, diligence, and coordination skills successfully juggled several equipment upgrades, multiple deliveries, and a landscape consultation all in one day. I’m talking scratch it off checklist, done. Potomac Concierge not only has these two extremely capable professionals to directly assist my me as their client. Their network of trusted vendors and contractors to do the work is such an added-value to the support they have provided. Seriously their Rolodex easily rivals Angie’s List and the quality to date has been superb. So far throughout my entire experience with them, I have not had to make a single phone call to arrange for any third party services. Kim and Debbie have done all the leg work, leaving me free to concentrate on work and my normal life. And I truly can’t begin to articulate through words how stress-free my life has been since contracting Potomac Concierge. Seriously my Partners at work only know that I’m in the middle of a home move because I’ve told them it’s happening and the fact that I act like-a-kid on Christmas morning when I provide them with updates. Thanks to Potomac Concierge Services, I’m about a week away of completing Phase I, getting the new home ready for me to move in. Phase II will be emptying out my apartment and getting it ready to hand it back over to my landlords after 22 years. Can you guess who I’ve contracted to help me with Phase II? I literally could not have stayed in my home during the pandemic nor gotten my house ready to sell without Kelly’s outstanding assistance. Kelly had a solution to every problem and always was calm while addressing any challenge. I think of Kelly as my guardian angel. Kristin also was essential during the process of packing up my house belongings and moving into my new apartment. As an example of the special care they gave to my china cup collection, Kelly took photographs of the secretary and display case in which the cups were displayed and then she and Kristin unpacked the cups and put them back in the identical order. I am eternally grateful to both of them.

I write for two reasons: first, in hope that others may have the opportunity I had; second as a means to express my sincere appreciation to Libby and Aida for their invaluable assistance. The original need was to "declutter" a small jewel of a home in Capitol Hill, lived in for 40 years which had in addition the leftovers of two other deaccessioned homes. The driver- to put the house on the market. Libby and Aida assisted with the deaccessioning of memories, furniture and furnishings with respect and sensitivity. They boxed up plenty of "rubbish" for collection. They boxed up some articles for disposition to various charities. They marked items for the movers. They are workers. They also performed an expected service and assisted in "staging" the house very tastefully for inspection. A major strength: their vendors on call are reliable, competent and prompt-rubbish disposal, moving company, storage. Moving into this house 40 years ago was a joy. I had a move in October with a lot of moving parts and I could not have done it without Joyce, Aida and the team at Potomac Concierge. It's the first move I've had when I didn't think twice about the logistics or the sequence of events – I left that all up to them. We had a flawless move, from a furnished rental and two large storage units into a newly renovated townhouse in Dupont Circle, and all of the management and parking permits and junk pick-up that that entailed. Potomac Concierge is my go to for help with ANYTHING. Not only are they all really capable, but we had fun! Thank you ALL!

I can hardly put into words how wonderful my experience has been with Potomac Concierge! Jamee and Kristin organized the heck out of my kitchen and office and were an absolute joy to work with–lots of laughter and even a little dancing, but they were also incredibly efficient and innovative, full of great ideas and ways to make our life run more smoothly. Potomac Concierge recently helped us move my father out of his home of more than a half-century and across the country to a senior living community. This was, as you can imagine, a complex and stressful undertaking, and they handled it all with patience, experitse, and thoughtfulness. Libby was very effective in getting the project off the ground–setting expectations, understanding our needs, getting to grips with the particular situation. This took a bit, but once we were going she found the right solutions to our situation. In particular she assigned Dana to our case. I can't recommend her highly enough. We literally could not have done it without her. She went out of her way to make this easier for my father, and for the rest of us, who live relatively far away. She made a difficult process seem almost simple–a model of organization, clarity, and empathy for us in a hard transition for all of us. Thanks to Dana, to Libby, and to Lauren for making this work. Libby, Shannon and Claire helped me move with very little notice. I thought I could do everything myself, but got too busy with work. They had less than two weeks notice and made it happen. Not only am I unpacked, but all of the boxes are gone and my kitchen is better organized than if I had done it myself. Aida and her team were pure professionals in guiding me through the task of emptying the house where I lived for 48 years and moving to another part of the country. As much as their savvy and efficiency, I appreciated their humor and sympathy along the way.

All of the women I worked with from Potomac Concierge (Cheryl, Vikki, Trish) were not only helpful, organized, energetic and focused, but they were also not afraid to get their hands dirty to get the job done. And they did it all with a sense of humor, warmth and the wisdom that comes only from experience. They efficiently helped me move out of my house, including sorting and cleaning most of my belongings, and move into a rental house after experiencing an environmental disaster in our home. Vicki was amazing. We live out of town and needed to close up a rental apartment in MD without traveling because of COVID. Vicki had assisted us last year when we moved out a townhouse and into this apartment. She is so efficient and detail oriented that the job went flawlessly. We were on FaceTime and I could tell her what was to be donated, what was going to a storage unit, etc. She meticulously labeled all of the boxes so when I can get to the storage unit I will know where everything is. As we worked together she reminded me of the Energizer bunny!!!!! She is also a wonderful person who makes it obviously that she loves what she does. Potomac Concierge is also a pleasure to work with. They are responsive and extremely professional. I would recommend them to anyone in need of this service. Joyce and Vicki saved us. We were mired in the sad and overwhelming task of emptying our mother’s home of its zillions of treasures to prep for estate and house sale.
