Well, it finally happened: A big move forced me to deal with my storage unit! I had a mix of *stuff* ranging from old furniture to art supplies–my own items and my late mother's–and it was nearly impossible to make a dent on my own. Between Jennifer's truly outstanding organizational skills and the help of a small crew to move heavy items (and remove the things I needed to part with), my 10×22' nightmare became a manageable space in three hours! I would go so far as to say that it was a genuinely fun morning–which is especially impressive given the sheer emotional weight of going through a parent's personal effects. Potomac Concierge recently helped us move my father out of his home of more than a half-century and across the country to a senior living community. This was, as you can imagine, a complex and stressful undertaking, and they handled it all with patience, experitse, and thoughtfulness. Libby was very effective in getting the project off the ground–setting expectations, understanding our needs, getting to grips with the particular situation. This took a bit, but once we were going she found the right solutions to our situation. In particular she assigned Dana to our case. I can't recommend her highly enough. We literally could not have done it without her. She went out of her way to make this easier for my father, and for the rest of us, who live relatively far away. We recently enlisted Potomac Concierge to help with unpacking and organizing after our move, and the experience was outstanding. Their team — Amelia, Joan, Kristin, and Shannon — was prompt, professional, and genuinely delightful, all while unpacking more than 140 boxes in just two days and even finishing ahead of schedule. Libby, Shannon and Claire helped me move with very little notice. I thought I could do everything myself, but got too busy with work. They had less than two weeks notice and made it happen. Not only am I unpacked, but all of the boxes are gone and my kitchen is better organized than if I had done it myself. I literally could not have stayed in my home during the pandemic nor gotten my house ready to sell without Kelly’s outstanding assistance. Kelly had a solution to every problem and always was calm while addressing any challenge. I think of Kelly as my guardian angel. Kristin also was essential during the process of packing up my house belongings and moving into my new apartment. As an example of the special care they gave to my china cup collection, Kelly took photographs of the secretary and display case in which the cups were displayed and then she and Kristin unpacked the cups and put them back in the identical order. I am eternally grateful to both of them.

I can hardly put into words how wonderful my experience has been with Potomac Concierge! Jamee and Kristin organized the heck out of my kitchen and office and were an absolute joy to work with–lots of laughter and even a little dancing, but they were also incredibly efficient and innovative, full of great ideas and ways to make our life run more smoothly. I will definitely have them back to tackle another area of the house!

Vicki came to reorganize two of my closets and had everything done within 3 hours! We tossed very few items and yet by the end I had gained back a lot of space in the closets.

Using Potomac Concierge Services has been a game changer and amazing for our family! They helped us prepare for a move to temporary locations in preparation for a house renovation. What a great experience! I had Kelly and Marley help me with unpacking and putting things away in my new apartment right after a move in, including setting up the kitchen and master bedroom, among other tasks. They were terrific–experts at what they do, and very kind and patient with me during a very challenging moving week. I learned some great things from them about how to make my new space work best for me. Libby was the Manager in getting a house ready for the market. It had been lived in for about 50 years and needed a variety of services. She had an amazing team of workmen and was able to empty the home, fix several items and make it look refreshed. All with quick response and professionalism. Very impressive work.

Shannon was terrific, working under a challenging situation—conducting a long-distance Facetime inventory, working to clarify and classify a decidedly disorganized estate, overseeing careful packing of vintage concert posters and music memorabilia, as well as personal belongings going into storage after a long-time friend's move to a nursing home. She never made assumptions but checked with me as to identifications and such, and made sure everything was clearly catalogued. And she also made sure that when the materials were moved into the storage unit, they were organized for easy access. Lots of photos as well, to make things even clearer. An amazing job all around I'm truly thankful for her partnership in this difficult time.
